Heart Upon Heart

The Mighty King, leaving twilights turmoil of this world behind while walking
Quitely into their room; gazing about the colourful crib, within soft stillness
As baby sleeps peacefully not knowing that they were born blind; swirling in
Emotions deeply a love; His little one begins to cry; Everlasting, lifting them....

Good Morning Tristen, thank you so much for your hearty comment. I did not know you knew about my birthday. About your poem: the ending is a rejoucing image. To hear a a baby cry, a few seconds after birth, .. The first image of the stillborn, is very sad. I could never imagine the feeling ... thank you once again for your loving comment... love~PD

This is very interesting work..A pity that you don't try other forms of poetry from time to time..Yes, we are all born blind to what God has done for us..Much of what we know and understand comes first from our earthly father and mother..For some of those that don't experience that early love from parents, it is much harder for them to understand God's love..Thanks for stopping by..Sara
