Dusk

Dusk settled on light green trees
Timid mongoose peeped
Padded feet in the alley
Cool breeze thru leaves seeped
 It started to feast
On old canned fish and stale meat
Stars twinkles in east

wow, this is very lovely and I liked the realism thrown in with the old canned fish for that mongoose.

Clear images, and clearly a well scripted work! Good luck poet!

I would hardly consider a mongoose a "timid" animal. They are quick, cunning, and vicious predators who will take on a snake that's many times their weight. However, this is a decently descriptive free verse poem.
