QUIET

OUTER SPACE FOR SURE
QUIET AS IT CAN BE
DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE
THAT METEORS MAKE NOISE
UNDERNEATH THE MAMMOTH GLACIERS
EVERYTHING IS QUITE QUIET
UNTIL AND UNLESS GLACIERS MELT
BIRD SITTING ON A TELEPHONE WIRE
UNTIL ANOTHER ONE IS AROUND
CAVES ARE KNOWN TO BE QUIET
NOT WHEN BATS FLY AROUND IN FRENZY
BOAT ANCHORED IN THE HARBOR
UNTIL ENGINE STARTS AWAY
TREES I WONDER ARE QUIET
OR THAT WIND PASSING THROUGH
HUMAN MINDS SEEM TO BE QUIET ON OUTSIDE
BUT WHEN YOU HEAR DEEP DOWN WITHIN
NOISIEST OF THEM ALL
NOT SO QUIET FOR SURE

Words of wisdom and truth. The human mind is the noisiest place to be.
