About This Poem

Ocular Floaters

Vacant but for
minute shadows,
I’d mistaken
for clouds

our sky has lied
again; it is
only blue;
chastely blue.

No longer do you
wait secretly
behind celestial
skeins of dust.

You are only in my eyes.

    Oh my good one..always nice to read fresh metaphor! [I have those things floaters like small fish-hooks in my eyes!] The last line wraps it up very well! Light & Love

    '...chastely blue,' '...celestial skeins of dust,' (my favourite!) Excellent phrasing and images... you are truly one of a kind!! (and deserve a helluva lot more reviews!!!) Love, Keith

    Beuatiful. I have these floaters, but could never have described them like this.

    Incredibly sad and deep, and yet so beautiful. I love how you fit so much into just 13 lines! Hope you are well, enjoying autumn.... must fly, daughter has gone bonky! xox cyndi
