About This Poem
Lean Not To
For I use to worry as though that would change anything...
I use to turn to the negative way of thinking when I
didn't reach you on the phone right away nor when you didn't walk in the door at the exact time until 5 minutes later (YES WORRIED and INSECURE)
But now that I have come to know my savior I lean not to my own understanding but just trust in Him
For truly understanding what lean not to my own understanding gives me a peace that passes all understanding
For whatever is supposed to happen it will!
I know God fights my battles,
He won't leave me nor forsake me.
If I can't get you on the phone right away, or I'm running late due to circumstances beyond my control, or if I don't have the particular amount of money in the bank to go on that trip and buy particular items that I want, I just lean not to my own understanding and know when I am supposed to go on that trip and/or get that item He will make a way for me to do so!
