I cried that very moment, cuz it's strange she lives in my images(not my memory). and I know I will see her again one day. Sometimes I feel as if she is still out there. her soul floating around. after all I believe she ejected from her own body the day her Alzheimer took over. nothing can explain, what's in the mind one the disease eats them away. I love my mom, I have missed her for over 8 years... I wish she'd seen me run my restaurant. she would have been proud. I know it

Oh My Scribe, I had fun reading this poem. It made me realize, what do people think about when they come across a person like me. I'm like them into Christ, but, very awkward when it comes to thinking. Like you up above.. I fancied many of your thoughts,, especially this one.. "Assuming my DNA is different With your blossoming thoughts of A female dog Mutts tucking their tails Sniffing each others rear" Now that my friend, takes thinking to the extreme. love your poem~ PD

Brutally honest write bringing out the disease of hypocrisy. Brutally awaking, brutally confronting, no shadows here, no in between, straight arrow shot! Got it! And quite well written I must say!

goodness, this is searing free verse! some great phrases - "strike with silent rattles" and "just add water friendships" being just two - a blistering write!

gritty piece peppered with edgy yet wonderful images..."sniffing each others rear"--- a raw description of the inner workings of the character's mind... you slay me with your special brand of poetry, marlon... well done!..:) huggs!

Special brand or poetry, that's a huge compliment. Literally humbling. Thanks!

Ha! Well, this is a mouthful and a half that you spat out into a strong-voiced poem. Sniffing each other's boom-boom....and then kissing it too! I dig the ending. Lots going on here, Dr. Linton Bradley. I cannot stop from being bit by the pit-vipers; this is harsh reality. So, my soul is a wild horse....wild horses have a natural anti-venom in their blood.

Thanks Chris. Some emotions can only fuel pleasant truths as this..Wild horses we are then; the stampede has begun! Thanks for the compliment!

Just add water friendships, that sprout betrayal was exceptionally there to pounce into my mind. So glad i came across these two lines today!

  1. Date: 8/31/2012 6:00:00 AM

Wow, what can I write that has not been written! Powerful, thought provoking, expressive...I tend to believe there's good in everyone, but I've been told I'm naive and yes I've been hurt many times because of my trusting ways. I'm learning to guard my heart. We cannot let everyone in. Thanks for sharing...hugs, Rhonda

Smh fam...lmao..I tried to quote you on some of the lines that I love but there's too many...I'll just have to say Damn!!!! Great expression of what the World faces from day to day!! Question: How can you determine if the snakes venom is detrimental or not? probably would have to get bit to find therefore, let's not walk in its a min...they're everywhere we must be prepared and always filled with the word!!!

After being bit a few, you become immune to the toxins. The last lines are my favorite, it's how I really think! Lmao Thanks fam, the word is the cure!
