About This Poem
Path to Your Home
Long path to your little home
In the middle of autumn
Leaves brush about the way, calm
No breeze out today
The trees are majestic on
Each side of the narrow path
Losing their leaves quickly down
Obscuring the way
In my heart I know this route
To your house with pets about
A playful country home-place
One I’d surely dwell
Maybe you’ll tell me to stay
Inviting my hand in yours
This path has its memories
New and old so swell
