The Cat

I am here
Hear me roar
The blood of others
I may pour.
I am the king
You are a mouse
I run this place
You’re in my house.
My claws are sharp
My teeth are too
You better hurry
I’m chasing you.
A wall ahead
Nowhere to go
Here it comes
Your final show.
I hear a door
I turn to see
My owner back
With a new fishy.
I guess you’re spared
From the lions mouth
But don’t you forget
This is still the king’s house.

Nice little write about what may be going on in a cat's mind during a chase.

This is very cute, Sabrina. It's also true - Cats don't have owners, they have servants. Ha! Ha! Enjoyed reading your poem. Love, Kim
