About This Poem
My Quiet Place
Paragraph:
My quiet place is of no great fashion,
no art, not even a decent seat. I sit on
an ugly plastic green chair, its desolate
and pretty grim. A room that no one
inhabits, but me. For ten years alone
I've been in this place, the furnishing,
an old sofa with a piece of cloth thrown
over it. The kitchen is never used. But
there is my beautiful new Dell computer
and I will am happy sitting with it.
Poem
There are no silver fine carved spoons
No grand fine sofas and chairs,
Just the dust of many old rooms,
Closed blinds to keep out glares
A jar full of old pennies and
A mirror looks away,
As the computer steals my day
Writing in an array.
