every single breath

yet awake or asleep
without equal sown,
conception’s natural
omniscient inherent
ere predestined gift,
this life’s temporal
brief corporeal home,
past, present, future
e'er anthropic timeline
death’s earthen cocoon,
hopes’s mere mortality
ne’er once mine own
