IMMOVABLE COWS
IMMOVABLE COWS
Lovely are the meadows sweet
Clover for the cows a treat.
For me cool air!
Cattle chew around my feet
With nose wet each foot they greet
As I lie there.
Cows don’t tolerate the heat
Sometimes lie or take a seat -
Near my skin bare!
Fields are full of them and me
Enjoying the shade of tree.
Washed round my face
All their noses wet I see,
Lurking near me, two or three.
With little grace,
I shoo them away from me:
I want all my field space free:
I offer chase.
Like a cowboy with no horse
I’m whooping, yelling of course.
They barely move.
I decide to use more force -
Try to prickle them with gorse.
Me Boss - must prove!
I shout till my throat is hoarse;
But cow moves I can’t enforce.
They won’t remove !
