Sunset on the Prairie

Take me to the prairie when night is nigh
Where grasses bleed the sun's goodbye

Where the clouds will blanket the moon's grey cold
With red pillows of light they unfold

Take me to the prairie and I'll say, "Farewell."
With golden rings of day's last bell

btw, most likely none of my beeswax, but could you be so kind as to enlighten me?? I find myself squinting when I see your avatar-- what is it?? Quite intriguing but I just never can figure it out, it just puzzles me so... o_O... only if you don't mind sharing what it is, like I said none of my beeswax but it was worth a shot asking... thank you :)...

I truly enjoy sunsets-- I can watch it all day when given the chance (ha, if that is possible!), shame I don't take the time to view sunsets more often... and reading this, just brought me there-- never experienced a sunset on a prairie though, so this was as close as I can get...happy to read this gem of yours, Caleb!
