The teaching of writings

Being read - being judged
We love to be read - we dislike to be judged
I will embrace criticism of any kind
If criticism’s definition means “opinion”
Opinions help us see the thoughts of the reader
From the eyes of the writer
To help us see if our words were delivered
In the sense we intended
To follow the rules of writing
Kills the art of the mind
Words are meant to be delivered as “we” the writer “imply”
Thoughts are meant to be heard, maybe embraced
Not to be judged
On ethics and grades

Hi Krys, love your perspective on criticism. I for one used to hate 'rules of writing', until I acknowledged 'free verse' is not the only way to go about writing poetry. Now I love other forms as well but use free verse to bear my heart.
