WHEN SUNSET BLEEDS

Behold lucent splendor of an arcade

that bleeds her copper shawl, its final glow

awaiting dusk to grasp last flares of blade,

when decimal of time changes the flow

and in repose, glazed orb succumbs to row.

The hour arrives when earth and stars unfold

as prelude between day and eve awakes;

till hand of sunset bids goodbye, consoled

with minted hope upon rise of dawn break,

bestowing tranquil pause, to mend toil’s ache.

    Reads like one of the top winners for the contest..Good luck..Enjoyed reading the descriptive lines penned by your creative pen..I incorrectly stated something on my poem about the Poulter's Measure..The poem is a form of Poulter's Measure that was used in many works by Emily Dickinson..It is Iambic Heptameter writtnen in Ballard Stanza which is 8,6,8,6 with one rhyme the 2nd and 4th stanza..Sara
