About This Poem

Bad Manners

What came of you, oh rouging bashful sun
Your fiery face belies your youthful enterprise
Morning dew illuminates by incandesce spark
Was it brash action of the taunting wind
that made you color so?
Your blushing face now tints the evening sky.

So luck I am to find one not read. The analogy of a blushing sun is priceless and each line uses such picturesque vocabulary. Wonderful as always dear Mikki, hope all is well with you. Love, Elizabeth

Hi Mikki... you haven't been posting for a while... pity... well, anyway, I'm able to look back at your older gems! Nice imagery in this one! Terry (& yes, your interpretaion/understanding of 'I've Got to Go' is correct!)

I have enjoyed this fiery one Mikkie; I suppose that full flush of the dawn would just have to move across eventually; otherwise the opposite horizon would just be really bland to the senses ..)
