John - This is precious fodder for the squirrels. My husband was an avid birder who led field trips and such, and I an avid heckler (pot bellied creeper). He was so cute like a mountain climber with his Peterson's quide hanging out of his pants and his binocs strapped over his neck. I swore he'd lose his pants with gear I can't even remember. I'm a sucker for birder now. love, Kathy

Love it! Love it! Love it!... I write in front of the picture window where I feed my birds next to the birdbath (I have to refill 2X daily). I wish I could have a camara on a stand where some things I could take a picture of. One squirrel plasters himself on the side of the bird bath pestal to eat the moss. He's hillarious! Especially when he falls off (1 foot- no harm).LOL

A joy to read this last poem before I retire for the night. It left me with a smile on my face, elated. Mahalo

Sounds like you are a frustrated bird watcher John; our feathered friends are probably wise to keep their distance as not everyone is kind. Can't help suggesting you practice your voyeur skills in other areas! :) How's your trip going, hope it's been smoothe sailing for both of you. Luv, Lizabeth

It was such a pleasure to read your poetry today John. I hope to be able in the next few weeks to find the time and energy to read and comment. May you walk through the garden of inspiration that you may continue to write and share your poetry with us. Love, Carol

A beauty of a poem, I love the bird sanctuaries don't you? I love when the birds spread their wings and fly. V

Hahahahahaha...This reads like a true story. Well your not alone there John.I've been feeding birds for years, and doing this out of the kindness of my heart...You would think that maybe they would stay, and not fly away? Nope! Of course not... Ya brought me a smile here :o) Nice write!
