Trace

Here I lie and trace
The red crescent moon
You left on my waist.

Fingers traced my spine,
Dug in deep, drew this
Shaded shape of mine.

Trace the tender mark
You branded on my
Neck and naked heart.

Wow Annie. Such originality in your use of language. You say it like no one else and that is a gift. Kathy

You use simple language to such powerful effect. There is not a word too much or too little, Brittle. You have produced a beautiful poem of love... passionate, yet tender, with a smooth cadence and spot-on rhyming. :) x
