No Measure of Time

Unspoken words linger in the depth of souls
Preserved with reverence… a moment to unfold
In classic silence, weary eyes stare long, hard; deep
Hands gently pairing, find each other, like ripe fruit to reap

Mellow warm embrace, the misty eyes and hearts race in time
Forever to savor, this moment sublime
When love need speak no word to amplify its pleasure
And true love bears time no measure

Soon, furrows will lie upon your brow; fine silver strands highlight my curls
Yet, for always, we will forever be… this boy and girl!

Annalise, I trully enjoyed not only reading this poem but to also emagine the years as they go by with a loved one. If only I could of read this 10 years ago, I would have read it to my grandparents of whom was married for 45 years. God has given you a special gift in writing, thank you for sharing, I loved it. Dave
