I SAW MY MOTHER

I saw my mother yesterday;
Or so it would appear.
she stood there looking back at me,
Come back through many years.

Her eyes, her mouth, her silver hair,
It all was just the same.
I stood there staring, open mouthed,
Could hear her call my name.

I could not believe my eyes.
Oh No! How could this be?!
I peered at her, she peered at me,
And then we both did smile;
For as she stood there looking back,
I found I have her smile.
