If someone tells you, you're good, they're lying. Very, should be in front of good. Perfectly worded!

A powerful Tanka, Charlotte! Something that has touched many. Unfortunately "hope can't teach us how to cope". Excellent write...surely a winner in the "Cantankerous" contest! Best wishes! Love, Mikki

I like how you said "lives disintegrate" - so true with a deadly disease - not just for the person with cancer, but friends and families too. Also like how you describe the pain taking over in your last 3 lines - especially the "pain-stained flaming dawns" like there is no end to it, even with the dawn of a new day. it only gives more light to it. Great entry for the contest!
