About This Poem

Seventy Times Seven

Grudges we hold onto from days gone by
Negatively impact every area of our lives
Unforgiveness is a miserable, bitter place
God has declared us forgiven by His grace

If we love Him, we must love one another
This is His command, sisters and brothers
Such pain and suffering for us Christ bore
He tore the veil; opened salvation’s door

We have received such mercy from Him
He doesn’t treat us according to our sin
We are redeemed; how much more then
We must also forgive; seventy times seven

Amen! An enjoyable piece; loved the message; when we fail to forgive others, we're actually hurting ourselves for allowing the pain/grief to concume our soul; we've got to let go and give it to God; nice job. -Joe Breunig Reaching Towards His Unbounded Glory PS For me, adding proper grammar to one's writing is the polish on the gem of writing. Adding Scriptural references would make a great footnote, such as: Matt 18:21-23, in this particular instance.
