About This Poem
Amniotic Egg
From the size of a ball, down to a pea
In an amniotic sea
Is how life starts to be.
life ceases to be
when the shell is cracked…
a three egg omelette.
frozen in time
for a barren woman…
a baby cries
A permeable shell, to hold water, yet releases gas
“calcareous” with an internal yolk sac,
“allantois” waste sac, life; immersed in fluid.
