Miserable Night

Miserable night,
how I loathe thee.
Pain and sorrow
beg
upon me. Like the devil
awaiting another soul.
Don't
take my heart.
Let it beat,
not for me. For her.
Even in this argument
I wouldn't bear to let
her go.
She is too good
for me. So involved
that a taste will
only lead her
to crave
more.
And more I give.
She can have
all of me.
My eyes will not hide.
Nor will my compassion
decide to whither.
Her touch
alone
will spare my world.
