About This Poem

Happy Fathers Day

He saw his Dad first, through baby blue eyes,
But ignored him for a bright colored toy.
And in later years he searched his Dad's face,
Finding there kindness and joy!

As the years flew by it was still Dad again,
Who helped him through school and to college.
And Dad found the job and made all the plans,
Even tried to supply all the knowledge!

Then came a time when the boy stood alone,
And said in a most grateful way,
"God Bless and keep you Dad my friend,
Forever on Father's Day!"
