PLAYING FOR A CAUSE part two guitar mans blues
A classical moment
In time
A weeping man
Plays his guitar
Strumming lightly
As a crowd
Slowly develops
In a circle
Around him
It started
As just him
A stool
And a guitar case
He’s old, gray
And worn
His once black cloak
From the cities salt filled streets
Is now charcoal gray
Matching his long greasy hair
And matted beard
His eyes of blue
Match his love for music
While blisters
On his feet
Are proof
Of how hard he works
At being no one
