About This Poem
To Be A Bird
Like a small child who is verbally abused
there comes a point
when you no longer hear such tunes
you close off all audio and want
and pray to be like a bird in a cage
longing to rid yourself of all their hate
to open the door and simply fly away
maybe this will save their day
