Under the Cedar

                                      Jasmines in the breeze
                                      wake crickets in unison
                                      surrounding the pond
                                      I'll wait under the Cedar
Please, do not turn off the moon

Ruben, are you ok!? Should I call an ambulance!? Anyone who reads more than 2 of my poems in a row, might just need an ambulance haha! You ended-up reading some of my weakest poems posted on the soup....that one haiku!!?? LOL! I am embarrassed -- people aren't meant to read them together in one shot like that! I don't want to call that many ambulances. Hey, you did great with this tanka, but you already know, especially with 40(90?) other people having already told you :D

Master, master, master ... a genuinely poetic closure that turns thought into art. Wonderful.

oh my gosh, so this is the one that didn't win twice before it finally got number one with PD? She picked a really good top poem this time, Ruben. Not to be rude, but the other judges were kind of morons.

So good, my man. Look at all the comments. I'm not jealous though. You deserve it. Thanks for all the support constantly. I've been reading, and writing more than commenting lately and need to spread it around more. It is nice to see someone knows what Tanka is here for.
