About This Poem
Prepare For Eternity
Don’t grasp on too tightly to this world
For its lure and ambition will soon pass
We live this life to prepare for eternity
A Heavenly Kingdom designed to last
To be like Christ; to see Him as He is
Is a future reality words can’t express
To have this mortal put on immortality
Is to be perfected in His righteousness
A step into Glory; just beyond this veil
Is to be rid of the effects from the Fall
A mind absent the impediments of sin
Is wholly liberated, with no fear at all
To be able to worship in full expression
Is a freedom such as we've never known
To praise Him; to dwell in His presence
Is the joy of forevermore at His Throne
