About This Poem

Dyaus' Rainbow Palette

Hues and crests from God

   Both a promise, and blessing-

       Only seen in spring.

Striking features true

  In minds of religious view-

        Punish the wicked.

Noah, only knew

   Covenant, words from his lips-

      Spoke to all beings.

All animals joined

With some of Noah's own kin-

      Is that not a sin?

My view subjective

   *Dyaus' palette effective-

     Poet's perspective.

 * Dyaus- A god of the sky

Hughes and crest are describing the arch and colors of the rainbow- but now that I really look at it- hughes is spelled wrong- LOL. Should be hues.. thanks for pointing that out

Well, if you are a believer in the King James version- the rainbow, after Noah made and populated his ark, was a covenant from God never to flood the entire earth again.
