About This Poem
Rain
Through the long chill of night
when at last the sun rose
With the sound of a thousand angels
dancing upon tip-toes
came a great thunderous roar
from the tumbling clouds above
to place a crystalline drop
on the parched barren land
And through the cracks of thirst
rose in multitudes of lilting song
a radiant burst of life
to lay hope upon the land
