About This Poem
The Siblings Meal
Two tiny babes waiting for a meal
dinner to them was breast they shared
two little siblings they were indeed,
growing for months hugging dear
as the sand passing in the hour glass was too fast
many feared they would not last
then one of them, sadly died
in love, the other lost the will to survive
and shortly passed
a mother's hope shattered with death
no more dinners for the two
suckling her breast
