About This Poem
My Nakedness Has Made Me Whole
Leading up to the water’s edge
Is a trail of my discarded clothes
As I made myself a solemn pledge
To the lady of the lake myself expose
And embrace Mother Nature’s throes
Free of the burdens that weigh me down
Now scattered across the lakefront grounds
I let the water consume my soul
And in her embrace I have found
My nakedness has made me whole
