Church

The writing in this book
Tells me I’m a sinner, not a saint
The preacher gives the sermon
And tells us who to hate

The cold cathedral walls
Are ringing with those lies
They tell us there’s a place we’ll go
If we don’t listen, when we die

They make us profess our wrongs
And become one full of rights
The organ plays, the choir hums
Singing of him, who is our light

They call for justice when we know
They are just wolves in disguise
We help the ones, who help us
And ignore the other cries.
