GAMES OF NATURE

Lying about like a flimsy
rag,
Which have had its
journey aided by the wind,
We daily watch the
games played by the
agents of nature,
That are always willing to
present before us a
puzzle.

The wind in its full force
mercilessly blows,
Away the leaves and
trashes that lie about.
The tree with its leaves
rejoices,
For the wind makes it
happy every blessed day.

The sun with its radiant
beam,
Gladly releases its rays to
warm our bodies and
houses.
Even our wet clothes
tends to applaud,
 This grand sphere
made by divine hands.

The cries of divine beings,
The tears and sweats
from their immortal
bodies ,
Drops willing to wet our
dry north-east Nigeria,
Cruelly washing off our
humus and grains.

The dark brown earth that
gathered,
And were trodden by the
old and young gone
before;
The fields on which we
now grow our crops,
Were all droppings of
heavenly birds.

A good write. I like the line "The tree with its leaves rejoices, For the wind makes it happy every blessed day. I never thought of leaves being happy. Thanks.
