Oh btw, you funny funny bunny! We're you being sarcastic about tweaking my limerick?! That was my OLD limerick! I had to repost it since That banana one got messed up SO bad I had to delete it, lol! Not sure if you even saw the latest edit? Tell you tomorrow i have to sleep. Ah me and limericks not too good. :p

Bwehehe, you Meano :p!! Boink!! Odd thing is, I didn't think that, I knew your write stemmed off from the word Manila, but others seemed to have a diff idea for your inspiration, hehe so I had to comment:p. Well at least my consolation there is that at least it's a thrilla, lol!

I am such a fickle monkey (yes, I am still awake, aack. I will sleep after this)--- I mean, I suddenly thought of another limerick (well the idea was brewing from way before but I finally was able to write it now) --So, I actually deleted my entry for Andrea's contest, thinking I can enter the new one-- guess what? It seems she locked her contest already, haha o_O so I can't enter the contest since it's not listed there... Crammer me. Sighs. I'll probably delete those limericks after a few days.

The question posed in the 3rd line won't leave my brain...I actually believe we are ALL born with that funky chromosome of evil...the dark chromosome...the backward glance of a strange remark, and then it starts to unfold...I really love those lines...super crafty prose!...I can truly see that fourth monkey now!... :) I see I have a lot of catching up to do on Mr. A's poetry list too!...Peace, Chris!! :) Gwendolen

I know the tale of the three monkeys.. but this one i didn't know about....And its interesting how live and evil..carry the same letters.. says so much..:)Charma

Nah, this stuff sometimes comes from the mouth of madness, and at other times it comes from out of the light. You keep writing! Don't stop. It is a fantastic release. Thanks for dropping by.

The sun is shining bright here this morning in Ohio and I am enjoying reading some very interesting and amazing writing and should I say a little different type in yours then others at times. So happy to see yours among the ones I am able to read this fine day before I get busy. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for sharing your poetry with us Chris. Love, Carol

Wow! This one skirts insanity, which one must suffer if he/she tries to live up to the Hear-see-speak. "A ripple on the surface of a baptismal font." That one kind of grabs ya. I'll have to read this a few more times. LOve, daver

Diane-Marie, I am glad that you enjoyed this poem. Poems just come to me. They can appear from out of the shadowy corners of my mind....at other times, they appear from out of the more wholesome, well-lit areas :D

oh! I just read your other comment about paper cranes, hehe let me flood your poem some more, haven't done so in a while anyway, hehe. Thank you very much for your insights to it-- yes, sometimes I don't know when to stop either (until an outside something forces me to stop already)...Well, I hope you'd be happy to know that that poem wasn't written for any contest at all, I'm happy I did. That's simply me wanting to write something out of actually folding that crane...

Admittedly, I find it quite refreshing, and I think I know what you mean, writing with not having a contest in mind...yes, like you, I do have some favorite poems of mine born from contests, but I suppose I got myself too caught up in contests, I sort of stressed myself to some level. So now I am pacing myself and it is nice in a way :D

Ah, so good to see that some people still write poems for the sake of it, instead of only writing for contests. I believe that one can achieve a higher level of pure intent that way. Hey, some of my favourite poems were written for a contest, but they are few and far between.

oh! And actually call me weird but I also have been more conscious of writing stuff that's not for contests (mostly this year) and i really am also happy with the poems that I come up with- ;)

I better sleep, but wanted to tell you--inserting images worked for me-- I copied the URL of the image and inserted that using that insert image link-- that's weird why it's not working from your end? Hmm do I leave the photo in? they're not exactly chips, well they do start with CH-- Ch ch chocolate yumm :D ok nice catCHing you here, CHris, haha I'm all itCHy, mosquitoes go away, hehe should that be fleas go away!

Oh Man! I got it wrong! I was thinking "Do no evil" but yes, "think no evil" is deeper .& you give a lot to ponder here-- very cool & clever write, Chris! I love how you did that transitioning of Omen-- reminds me of that other cool time you did that with the word Nazi before. Going back, I can be dense, I don't think i even really realized before how live is the palindrome of evil? Yup, I agree with Ruben-- this is brilliant. Reading this sure makes me want to visit Nikko & the Toshogu Shrine!

Yes, I do think that you giving it a different spin makes for an interesting angle-- hey what you say, if you do plan to visit that Shrine, let me know, by some chance, maybe we could meet up there ;)

Thanks for dropping by, nikko. Well, the Fourth Monkey is traditionally known as: Do no evil. But this is my poem, so the thoughts are a bit different....a different version of the Fourth Monkey. Yeah, I want to go visit the Tosho-gu Shrine as well.

Another one of your brilliant writes puzzling my "still" shrinking brain! : ) Shizaru --I swear i didnt google it, LOL -- crossing his arms and thinking "no evil." What about the "Fifth" monkey who "writes" no evil! : ) Excellent as usual, Ivan! Ruben.
