Pointless love

Thank you for the bad compliments
and the way you touched my hair
thank you for the empty promises
how your leaving and I'm staying here.

I'm always the girl with the crooked heart
cliched romances right from the start
I never gave you the sentimental key
and any random bed was your luxury.

Now I keep wondering, what went wrong
maybe if I gave you the key
I wouldn't be singing this heartbroken song.

Do you deserve my thoughts?
thoughts of your eyes
captured by my beauty
what was the truth
what were the lies?

I hate missing you when you don't miss me
you just agreed in the end
you never had the strengh...to fight for me

Awwee....it's tough to love one that does not love back. Very sad poem....I think many of us have been there and asked the same question.
