My Friend
Don't have much education
but i'm really doin' fine,
I have Jesus as a friend
and this whole world is mine.
Don't use a lot od fancy words,
not politically correct.
But Jesus is my special friend,
I'm one of His elect.
Always short of money,
sometimes that gets to me,
But Jesus offers friendship,
and His friendship is free.
He said He'll not foresake me
He'll never let me down.
He's my loving caring friend,
the dearest friend i've found.
Sometimes things go smoothly,
sometimes they fall apart,
Jesus is a healing friend,
and He binds up my heart.
When problems come a time of prayer
opens up the line,
To heaven and my special friend.
I can trust Him all the time.
It's been said He's never late,
He's always right on time.
With Him as my special friend
things will be just fine.
He walks beside me daily,
At night I feel Him near.
I know He is a faithful friend,
So I need never fear.
