Imagine the sun in a cardboard box.
Imagine this sun building up,
bursting rays of gold and glitter breaking through the corners of said box.
Pushing through every seam, warmth peeking through, melting.
Bystanders begin to notice until it's all they see.
It blinds then from normality, their moderate mindset.
It can't be contained.
That's how i feel everyday,
I can't hold it in.
Then again, i don't want to.
Poetry is what centers me,
It's my escape.
This is how i define who i want to be,
it helps me to see.
I see how i struggle and how i triumph.
Subconscious motives, fears, and loves.
I never know how i feel that day,
until the lead hits the page.
My notebook is my stage.
