The All Seeing I

 UNSUPPORTED CODE

A light under a bucket, yes..I've hidden there
been the squeaky wheel that got the oil
acted uncaring, had my ups and had my downs
lifted folks on my shoulders
acted the sage, acted the clown
hope to fill a stage before I'm over...

from between closed lids
iris's roll as day breaks pane
lashes move aside

Questioned the right, questioned the wrong
been a sanctuary to many..
straddled Goliath like the colossus of Rhodes
there's an owl-handled knife near my bed.

seeing halfway round
trust in your ability to turn
who are you

Fall into me now, soft and warm,
come into my light for you know, I've some of yin
I've some of yang and light peeps out you know.
You new born chicks who strobe in the light
remember, the dark can not hide you..
Your soul your chi, the light of God will
aid and let ALL find you.

Doobie-san, every time I read this poem, the more it grows on me. This is a 1st place poem. I am not kissing your arse by saying it either. I could have had a 3-way tie up there. This is why I barely host contests anymore. In the end, I shouldn't judge? lol. I also should've have placed Ruben's poem higher. There is more than meets the eye with his piece. Every word was meticulously placed, so that each stanza is a minimalistic poem on its own.

In many ways, it feels you have written my own story, by the end of the day, between closed lids, I sense how the strength inside subsides, and we cannot hide our true selves, our true fears from the dark...the secret, if I read you, is to let go...and let the peace...the light find you. (I have the hardest time with the "letting go" part....but I'm slowly learning to do that, a little at a time)..:)

in energeticc circles, people who do energy work such as shamanic healers, we see or feel the different astral bodies of humaan beings [I can feel themm from 1/2" out to about a foot] annd when asstral projecting to someone we can often see their ener CH in the astral plae ;)]

Yes, clever title enhanced by an even more telling poem as only Debs can do. You always make one think, and like a fine mystery, paint the plot in their minds. Congrats on this win!

Brilliant poem, Debbie(again). The message of it all is wonderfully strong. Wot an intersting way to write a senryu-haibun(wot is a senryu haibun called? Is there such a label?). Thank you for supporting my contest!

So profound, Debs! The yin and the yang, can be flexible or transposable. "Your soul your chi" most definitely intact and functioning well, Debs! This piece is well worth rereading, I know it has much substance with many facets. Keep well, best wishes, Mikki
