The Mermaids Song

Emerald climes of flowing beauty...
Take me home to deep caves that
hold all the secrets of my kind.
I have been to long in this dry
and lonely place. I long for
the chill of dark places and
the sunny warmth of rocky outcrops.
Pulled by the tides, I hear a cry,
shrill like a dolphin, but softer...
My sisters call me home.
In the distance I see a coral palace,
it glows a deep pink in this twilight world.
Home of my Lord Poseidon, ruler of the
oceans and all who live here.
With a flip of my tail, I swim faster,
for it is he who calls me now.
My Lord, and my love...
I am home.
