Painting

P alette of blue and gold,
A swirl of stars that hold
I llusions of unrest, but
N ow seem to protect
T he sleeping town below,
I mmersed in Vincent's glow.
N obody could invoke the
G enius of his stroke.

my free verse just doesn't measure up to yours, Heather. Either it's too simplistic or it becomes to lyrical most of the time!!

hmmm, just don't think you have written anything I have not already seen!! Anyway, the captcha was one I remembered seeing some time ago, not recently. I have seen some really great one. But didn't write them down. One time I saw SExy. but it's impossible to write a good acrostic using an X and then a Y at beginning of the last two lines of it!!

Painting is one thing I can honestly say I suck at. I tried a few times. I've got mega respect for anyone who can. You paint, right?
