About This Poem
Now
I remember the cabin we rented
on the the calm lake
water only footsteps from the door
where we said we’d share the view
and sip from our cups together
on special days
and I did, alone
and realize now that I’d already left
and your never sharing the bed
in the buddhist red room
art full and jangly was because
I wasn’t there again
so why go alone
forever, but you tried
and maybe now you have together
