About This Poem
Passerby
Drip
Drip
Drop
Condensation song envelops this flesh
scraped by incomplete diamond cuts
Flawed
1130pm loneliness slides its fingertips against my neck
Seductive reminders of where I could be
Who I could have embraced
Had it not been for the incomplete diamond cut
AA grade dangles off edge of white gold sanity
Seclusion sucks on inclusion’s pacifier
to savor tasteless dreams, all
dried
out
All
cried
out
Her calls
died
out
Jury embraces bungeed impulse,
hung
Pre-conceived notion written with
tarred feathers plucked from messenger’s wing.
All because
the incomplete diamond
released her grasp against my palm
After loving me enough
to let me go
during anarchy’s final tear
My last 2-ply tissue paper
sways with expired scythe on red earth
As passers-by
watch the raindrops falling on my head
falling on my head
Their verdict
decided
Raindrops
keep falling on my head
Falling on my head
Falling
Drip
Drop
