My Protest Write

 They`re marching on
 The Syrian soldiers
Towards civilian neighborhoods they will prowl
 Heavily armed,their tanks approaches
All guns and grenades are loaded
The have schools, hospitals and innocent people in their targets

Shell shocked children screaming in pure death anxiety
Their faces covered in blood, after their school being used as cannon targets
Gone are the days when soldiers fought against eachother
 Now they smell civilian blood
Assad`s soldiers will shoot you from behind
My Syrian friend, you better wait until night falls
Before you bury your dead brothers and sisters

 The regime`s days are numbered
Written by the blood of the innocent, they have signed their own doom
We,the world-are watching woman and children being slaughtered
Because the UN say we have to
I cry for you my Syrian brothers and sisters
But hang in there, even though UN has delayed your liberation
A time will come, the madman will fall from his shaky podium

Where is your sence of pride,Assad?
How do you sleep at night?
Every woman, all the children you have tortured over the decades...
Do you feel their death anxiety
Or hear their screams for mercy when you close your eyes?

Oh, bloody hell! You wrote this, Arild. This was entered into my last contest. Did you always have your name on it? Let me explain myself further. I am not being rude here, please don't misinterpret my words. English is also my second language. Thus, I give other people breaks in my contests, if English is their second language. I enjoyed the message in this poem as soon as I read it the first time. Bah! I should have just placed it and not been such a Grammar-Nazi....besides, Nazis suck!

No, I don't think they hear anything when they close their eyes...they are following their bloodthirsty orders. My heavy heart beats day and night for those lost in this senseless slaughter. I am pleased you have written on this topic, Arild. It needs to be heard..Rise up, Syrian brothers and sisters and make your new leader's name be known.....Hugs, Gwendolen

his future is not bright. he will be running in the middle of the night. days and nights are filled with fright. it's just a matter of time before his enimies unite. but he will get his just desert a bloody face and a body thats hurts. no trial for the former king. only disgrace for his former reign.

Political poem. Interesting, Arild. As you know all politicians are mean and tricky, If they're not, they wouldn't have decided to be one at first. All the wars and conflicts they are very expensive, they needs lives to pay. I pray for the best for them.

It hurts like hell, Arid..but I know that Mr. Assad's day of reckoning will come like everyone's...unfortunately, he is so wrapped within his pride that he can not see it coming... Good job expressing your anger, Arid. Love, Annalise

Smile ˜ Very gripping, sad reflection in this place of bittersweet wherein we dwell my dear friend ˜ Love the heart & compassion presented amid a strong tone & voice; kudos ˜ Although I believe that your precious heart may have a typo in the term of, "Doom," instead of dome? * Love, John!:) ˜
