The Plan

I sit in my chair
With a drink in my hand
Reading the words
Of woman and man

A poem emerges
Robust and profound
I grab my pen
And scribble around

With arrows and circles
And numbers by phrase
Pictures develop
That sometimes amaze

My pen is the plow
That trenches the furrow
Planting the seeds
For poems tomorrow

A seed that is buried
Deep in the Earth
Breaking the surface
At moment of birth

I look to the sun
I stare at the moon
I smell every odor
And listen to tunes

Crickets and tree frogs
A daisy or rose
Thunder and lightning
A ground that is froze

Life is abundant
It circles around
If you look and you listen
You'll see every sound

Don't miss a moment
Of nature or man
Cause all has been given
Through Gods greatest plan

Nothing happens by chance

Rockman :-)

Love It!So true, the word coincidence was coined from co-inside, originally a mathematical term that was use to describe when two angles fit together perfectly.

good lookin out on the Juxtaposed piece. If that was just a poem I had written for a contest or something I may have changed it, but that one was a tough one. I wrote it while in some deep shit with my endocrine system...long story about testosterone...Anyway I used juxtaposed b/c of the way it compares two very different things that are similar (ie. rain vs tears) I do appreciate your help...like the time on the "Jack Ace" poem. I wanted to explain this all to u so u dont take me as a dick:)

Last line wraps it up beautifully; your awareness of what is around you seems to privide the fuel for anything you want to write about. Lovely verse. :)
