About This Poem

Quiet As Night

The other shoe
a mystery, discovery...
The other shoe
knowing disappointment was due.
It’d been good, didn’t want to see...
Never thought it’d happen to me,
the other shoe.

Quiet as night,
demon of darkness found the face.
Quiet as night
when innocence robbed of the light
while beaten and bound, tied with lace...
as torture becomes commonplace.
Quiet as night...

WoW! What an emotional piece. Sounds like someone was tortured and raped bound by their shoelaces. Hope it was just a poem and not taken from an actual happening. God Bless, JB

WoW! There is a couple of ways this can be taken. In many ways life in general can be torture for some because as it says here you get so used to disappointment that when things start going well you keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, and sooner or later it seems it usually does. A fine piece here. Lots of emotion. God Bless, JB
