About This Poem
To tell the truth
It is important to be honest and true
To carry on living a lie is no good for you
Deceptions will not keep harmony
Oh Lord, please forgive me
Honouring vows are what we set out to keep
Loving each other, plans to sow and reap
Which is why to you I make this plea
Oh Lord, please forgive me
To start this relationship, never break your heart
To love and protect you right from the start
On bended knees I hope you will see
Oh Lord, please forgive me
To tell the truth, will crumble our dreams
But love, it appears is not all it seems
Your happiness means the world to me
Oh Lord, please forgive me
We cannot be blamed for whom we fall in love
Love is unpredictable, it falls from above
Your life must go on even without me
Oh Lord, please forgive me.
