Beyond The Shades of Color

Beyond The Shades of Color

The sun goes down today
Leaving a pillow of darkness along its way
Are we still able to see the light from the day?
Or has darkness become shadows mimicking the light that gave way?
Are we able to vision the sun that, just moments ago was beaming in our eyes?
As we stand before the darkness that turned into night
Or should we? Instead, do we see them both in disguise?
Do we have the wisdom to know the difference in sight?
That all shades of color are part of equality
Accepting light is to darkness and darkness is to light…
Knowing white is to black and black is to white
Embracing that colors stand no difference
In the equation of equality…
As we live each day
Not letting ignorance get in our way
As we look beyond the shades of color…..

The amount of melanin contained within one's epidermal layer should not be used to determine whether or not this person should be our friend. You have written everything decently well.
