Gravity Pushes Down

Stargazing the Milky Way
Both feet on the ground
Wind will soon breakaway
It whispers without a sound
Tree leaves fall into decay
Gravity pushes down

Seemingly clearer everyday
A place where dreams are found
Watch the worlds matinee
Take it in by surround sound
Blazing to a space faraway
Gravity pushes down

Star Sun shines thru the grey
Obtrusive and unbound
Were all vagabonds at play
Moon go's round and round
In Earths ambient way
Gravity pushes down

I enjoyed reading your poetry this morning Leonard. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I am going to see if I can write something for a couple contests this weekend. Hope you find the inspiration to do the same. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. Love, Carol
