TODAY IS A GOOD DAY
Today is a good day
The weather is calm, peaceful and sunny
The roosters are up and doing
Foraging after performing their daily rite of crowing
The goats and sheep are out early
Trying to beat one another to the juicy plants
The dogs are barking and jumping around
Taking advantage of the day to stretch their legs
Little kids laughing and playing catch
So happy and full of excitement
Young girls and boys are whispering and giggling
Gossiping and having fun under the bright sky
Parents and grandparents sitting under the tree
With a jar of lemonade, chatting about the good old days
Today is a good day
Bright, beautiful and there is happiness all around.
